Our planet is all set to reach and breach the first climate red line of 1.5 degrees Celsius warmer in the next decade. With just 8 years left before the climate disaster, the COP 27 held at Sharm el-Sheikh ended as a flop. Every nation and every tactical grouping made sure that their interests were not affected while the world was already witnessing unprecedented floods, long-drawn heat waves and hurricanes; giving us a taste of things to come. 2022 will be remembered as when we walked away from the last chance to save the planet.
