🐢 They are calling it “a sustainable green, global hotspot for business, trade and leisure”. They are advertising it as the “alternative to Hong Kong”. But the ₹75,000 crore Great Nicobar Development Project in reality poses an existential threat to the indigenous communities of the Nicobar Islands and also gravely endangers the ecology. Why is the govt bent upon pumping money into mega projects with no accountability regarding its impacts on environment and people?
