CFA invites you to Report Release and Discussion on “Undoing Conservation: India’s Tiger Reserves Giving Way for Infra Projects” on Monday, 18th April from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. This session is based on an upcoming report “Undoing Conservation: India’s Tiger Reserves Giving Way for Infra Projects—A Compendium of 10 Case Studies on Tiger Reserves”, which would bring together researchers who have contributed to the Case Studies on selected Tiger Reserves across India. This session intends to highlight how tiger reserves across India are being impacted due to infrastructure projects cutting through these protected areas. The session would also touch upon other pertinent issues such as forest rights of communities living around these tiger reserves and the larger policy direction at the crossroads with nature conservation and the push for infrastructure projects.
