At a time when the poor majority of the country needs the most support, the government has abandoned them. Cutting down almost all the social welfare schemes and reducing allocation to some key sectors, the government has struck a deadly blow on its people. As the recession catches up, there is will be no place to hide. Or is the government waiting for things to get worse so that they can intervene at the last moment, acting as saviours?
